These are great for making electrical repairs on the fly. They are quick and self adjusting which gives you more time to camp than working.
This is another item that we keep on board in our RV. I prefer to solder electrical connections verses just using a wire nut or quick connect. Just remember to run an separate electrical cord from your power source, disconnect your battery and make sure your campers power is off before making electrical repairs.
We prefer to solder our electrical connections and when we are finished we use shrink wrap tubing to cover the connection. To me it just makes a better connection when having a camper bouncing down the road all the time.
